Barbara has restored a Gio Ponti villa above Lake Como to its former glory; IT

Australian author Barbara bought this 1960s villa perched 600m above the Lecco arm of Lake Como in 2017, after an exhausting four-year search. The villa was originally designed by architect Gio Ponti, but it was in bad shape when Barbara first saw it, filled with mold and burst pipes. Due to a limited budget, the work was done slowly in stages.
